Camille's Gentle Paw Balm
This one hits close to home for me as a formulator. I've been a professionally certified dog trainer for about four years or so, and was a dog walker before that. I love working with dogs and have a special gift for canine behavior. One of the first things I ever created in this space was a paw wax for my client's dogs while I was a dogwalker.
Seeing them suffer painful, rock-hard snowballs between their toes during our winter walks wasn't something I was able to endure for long. Not to mention the long series of lost paw-boots, or the even worse ordeal of wrestling on those horrible rubber booties.
Sure enough, once I wrapped my head around what was needed it was an easy recipe to experiment with, and I soon perfected an unscented paw wax recipe that lasts a long time and won't harm your dog - no matter what.
Made from beeswax, shea butter, sunflower, and coconut oils to protect, insulate, and moisturize your dog's feet from cold weather conditions, this paw wax can also be used on dry, concrete-weary paws to restore moisture, flexibility, and promote healing.
Each tin contains 2oz of my paw balm. Easy to apply and can be stored for up to two years in a cool, dark place.
